2006 Toyota Avensis T3 2.2D 6spd. 102k, FSH, great condition. Having previously always had German cars, this was bought as a good value estate with plenty of space, low running costs, excellent reliability and it hasnt disappointed. Economy is superb, regularly achieving 50’s on a run and always 40’s on the usual school run and about town. The engine is very refined and linear, being the 2.2D with 6 speed gearbox there is more than enough power and has to be one of the bets diesel engines i’ve experienced. It also has the advantage of being chain drive so no cambelt to worry about. Lots of room inside with brilliant legroom in the back and a huge boot. The car has full service history and is going for MOT and a service this weekend, so the next owner need not worry. When I bought the car, I fitted 4 x Michelin Cross Climate tyres, which are a summer/winter hybrid tyre and very impressive in all conditions, they have lots of life left in the them. Bodywork is generally good. No rust, a couple of parking scars, most notably on the front offside corner of the bumper and the rear bumper. Both have been shown in the pictures. Wheels have some scratched and curbs, but are all straight and round. Interior is the also good, no wear or sagging on the seats. It very functional and has no damage. The car is fitted with a Sat Nav system which we’ve never used as TomTom is a bit more upto date. AC doesnt work unfortunately, never bothered to investigate. It also has a removable towbar, which I left in place to stop the Mrs from reversing into things (after the third time)! So the only bad bits are the scuffs and there is only one key. We did have two but the remote locking key was lost so the car has to be locked manually which isnt any real hardship. The car is now surplus to requirements, so its advertised at no reserve. Dont forget the car will get 12 months MOT and a service next weekend and if anyone wants to look, I have a well lit garage for inspections given the nights are drawing in.
